Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD Review

So I just recently installed this DVD receiver in my Ford Explorer and man, do I love it! Along with the CD-IU200V Ipod adapter, this thing is an excellent extension of my Iphone. There are other reviews that will go in depth about the functionality, but I wanted to mention a couple things that werent mentioned elsewhere.

–This device was meant to be fully utilized with the Iphone 4 (latest ipods as well)—

With my 3Gs, I had to jailbreak it to be able to view video from app such as netflix and navigation. There is no Apple sanctioned way to push video from 3G(s) to this device. I’ve only been able to get Youtube to work before the jailbreak. Pandora, Ipod video, dvds, and sd card work great for video.

For first timers, like myself, you will need to purchase a wiring harness to match your specific vehicle, and splice or twist all of the wires yourself. Also an install kit worked better than trying to use my factory brackets. Also don’t forget to get an antenna adapter for the antenna line.
